I AM

For over 2000 years people have been making the same accusations that Jesus is not who he claims to be. Let’s just see who Jesus claims to be… 





Jesus said to them: "Watch out that no one deceives you. Many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and will deceive many. (Mk.13:5-6)


Again, the high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ,…  "I am," said Jesus. (Mk.14:61-62)


Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. (Jn.6:35)


"I am the bread that came down from heaven." (Jn.6:41)


When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world (Jn.8:12)


If you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins. (Jn.8:24)
Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am the one I claim to be (Jn.8:28)


"You are not yet fifty years old," the Jews said to him, "and you have seen Abraham!"                                     "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "Before Abraham was born, I am!" (Jn.8:57-58)


I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. (Jn.10:9)


I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. (Jn.10:11)


Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. (Jn.11:25)


You call me 'Teacher' and 'Lord,' and rightly so, for that is what I am. (Jn.13:13)


I am telling you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe that I am He. (Jn.13:19)


Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (Jn.14:6)


Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me (Jn.14:11)


On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. (Jn.14:20)


I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. (Jn.15:1)


I am the vine; you are the branches. (Jn.15:5)


I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever!     (Rev.1:17-18)


I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. (Rev.22:13)


…if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins." (Jn.8:24)


"But what about you?" he asked."Who do you say I am?" (Matt.16:15)
