The Lord's Prayer

A lot of people say this prayer without thinking about what they are really saying, kind-of like being on autopilot. They repeat it because they were “trained from a young age” (Prov.22:6) this is how you talk to God, it’s “THE LORD’S PRAYER” You can’t go wrong talking to God if you say “THE LORD’S PRAYER” So, as children they memorize “THE LORD’S PRAYER”

Here’s an example for you:
“Hey Mr. Smith, how are you doing? You're sure a great man to work for, I love my job. I expect today will be a productive day.”
“Hey Mr. Smith, how are you doing? You're sure a great man to work for, I love my job. I expect today will be a productive day.”
“Hey Mr. Smith, how are you doing? You're sure a great man to work for, I love my job. I expect today will be a productive day.”

Are you starting to get the picture? If you keep repeating the same words over and over, eventually Mr. Smith is going to realize you really don’t mean what you say, you’re just talking.

I AM

For over 2000 years people have been making the same accusations that Jesus is not who he claims to be. Let’s just see who Jesus claims to be…

On the Fence

You’re sitting on top of the fence of good and bad. One side is ice cream and candy and all the sugary yum that goes with it. The other side is broccoli and brussel sprouts and all the grimacing faces that goes with that.
Either one of them is all-you-can-eat; you just have to choose which one is better for you.

The sugary yum looks so inviting, but you know if that’s all you eat, eventually you will get sick. Now, the grimacing faces aren’t so inviting, but some of it is worth trying; you could eventually acquire a taste for all of it. Also, you know it’s good for you and it will make you healthy.

So, the obvious choice is to sit on the fence and eat from both sides.

Beautitudes (Be Attitudes)

Matthew 5:3-12

Jesus was baptized, tempted by the devil, started choosing his disciples, began preaching and healing people. He became very popular in a short time; Large crowds from Galilee, the Decapolis, (the Ten Cities) Jerusalem, Judea and the region across the Jordan followed him. (Matt.4:25) Now when he saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. …and he began to teach them saying: (Matt.5:1-2)

Worthy of the World?

When will I be recognized, justified? I am worthy. World, see me, for I have so much to offer you. If you would, just allow me the honor, please. Can’t you see I am trying to be successful here? World, please just let me in… just for a minute. If you do, I promise I will prove to you that I can cut it; that I am worthy of your attention.

I just don’t understand why I can’t seem to make it in the world. I am good at my job. I don’t know why I can’t just get my big break.

I can succeed, if I am just given the chance.

Is that a comfy bubble you're in?

Most everyone has a best friend. Who is yours? Do you have lots of friends? Do you have life-long friends? Do you have only a few friends, but like it that way?

You know how on those dating profiles how people put that they like to take long walks and enjoy meeting new people? But then, have you noticed that after you have been with a person for a while, somehow they can get really comfortable in their environment and stop opening doors to the outside world?

God, the Ultimate Rock Band

In Genesis chapter 1, verses 26-27, the God’s Word says, “Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.’ So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”

God said, “us”. Why did He say, “us”, if He is God?
